Many of my paintings are commissioned by clients, often as a gift or to commemorate a special occasion or just for the admiration of a favorite spot. Whether you are commissioning a large or small painting, from concept to completion, both the client and artist contribute to the creative process to bring an idea to reality as a unique original work of art. This is the key to owning a piece that you, your organiztion or your family will value into the future.
It’s a Collaboration
You and I will work together to find a photographic image to be used as the subject for your painting. A client’s own photographs can be used as subject matter but more often than not the comimsison process begins with my visit to the client’s chosen site to take photographs and talk about what it is that interests you visually about the place and your connection to it. I will then present the client with a variety of possible photographs to use for the “working image”. We review them together and make the final choice of subject.
